Description
This training provides an overview of concepts and practices fundamental to tobacco treatment. It includes a review of tobacco addiction, motivational interviewing and counseling skills, pharmacotherapy, treatment interventions, assessment, and e-cigarettes. It is a good fit for practitioners looking to obtain a foundational grasp of tobacco treatment knowledge and skills. (12 CEU hours available)
This is two-day training, December 7th & 8th from 9:30a-5p, lunch will be served on both days.
The training is appropriate for health care and behavioral health providers at all levels who work directly with clients who use tobacco.
Please note: this training does NOT fulfill training requirements to become a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
